Well, what a stark contrast to last year's blistering heat. This year it was a stereotypical Mancunian day (nice weather for ducks).
The pre-race warm-up was met with enthusiasm all round just in an attempt to get warm. As ever, once that starting klaxon blew, Kavi gave it his all. It was tough conditions with the rain and rain blowing in our faces whilst traipsing uphill.
As ever, the support was brilliant and Kavi was lifted by several people hanging out their hands to catch an honoured high-five from Kavi.
Watching from the sidelines were mummy, Indhu Massi, cousin Jaya and the irrepressibly vocal Mani chanting Kavi's name in awe.
Kavi did his 'now trademark' sprint finish leaving me (daddy) trailing like a greyhound chasing the Hare.
At the finish, he met up for a pic with his classmate and fellow runner Lacey who had journeyed up on the tram with him - giving each other moral support(and the giggles).
Kavi is so proud to honour his brother Suresh once more and thanks to the generosity of friends, he has raised close to £300 and rising.
We miss our Angel Suresh more every single second of every day, but he'll always be the strength in our hearts xxx
