It was a blistering hot Saturday in May, but that wasn't going to stop Kavi from charging like an African elephant through Heaton Park. It was 2 km in all which was half a kilometre longer than last year-it was also uphill a lot and with the sun beating down on us, I (daddy) found it a struggle- I kept telling him to take it easy but he carried on charging. After 12 minutes of solid running my legs were beginning to give way and I thought that kavi would just stop any second- but oh no, he was determined! On the final stretch I was grateful just to see the finishing line – however Kavi decided to do a sprint finish and he sped on ahead of me finishing in a time of 15 minutes and eight seconds. An extraordinary effort from my little star! All in memory of his little brother – he was so so proud and so are we x Many thanks to all who have supported us throughout - the total is growing nicely.
